The BJP Central Election Committee (CEC) has finalized and released the first list of 71 candidates for the Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections 2025.
Some key names include Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary contesting from Tarapur, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha from Lakhisarai, senior leader Ram Kripal Yadav from Danapur, Prem Kumar from Gaya, former Deputy CM Tarkishore Prasad from Katihar, Alok Ranjan Jha from Saharsa, and Mangal Pandey from Siwan. Notably, Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav has been dropped from the Patna Sahib seat, replaced by Ratnesh Kushwaha.
The BJP will contest 101 seats in Bihar as part of the NDA alliance, which also involves JD(U) contesting 101 seats, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) 29 seats, Rashtriya Lok Morcha 6 seats, and Hindustani Awam Morcha 6 seats. The Bihar assembly election is scheduled in two phases on November 6 and 11, with counting on November 14.
