Job Overview

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is hiring a Purchasing Senior Associate in Kolkata. The selected candidate will support purchasing and procurement operations, including sourcing administration, purchase order management, supplier coordination, procurement reporting, and issue resolution.

The role requires strong knowledge of P2P processes, procurement operations, supplier management, SLA adherence, and purchasing controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Support sourcing administration, RFx execution, supplier engagement, and commercial coordination.
• Manage purchase order creation, validation, amendments, variations, and closure.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve purchasing queries.
• Maintain purchasing trackers, operational reports, and status updates.
• Ensure compliance with P2P processes, controls, SLAs, and TAT requirements.
• Support catalogue management and procurement dashboards.
• Track risks, issues, and procurement-related activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of purchasing transactions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement operations, sourcing administration, supplier coordination, or P2P processes.
• Strong understanding of procurement intake and PO management.
• Excellent supplier and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume transactional work with accuracy.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP/procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle JD Edwards, Coupa, Ariba, or similar platforms.
• Exposure to RFx administration, catalogue management, procurement dashboards, and reporting.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools is an advantage.
• MBA in Supply Chain is preferred.

TCS EPCN Registration – Mandatory
