This role is ideal for senior professionals who can lead communication strategies, manage media relations, and improve the digital and public presence of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and strengthening the communication and media strategy of NFDC. Major responsibilities include:
- Increasing visibility and audience engagement across social media and digital platforms
- Planning and executing strategic branding and marketing campaigns
- Managing internal and external communications with stakeholders, media agencies, and public relations teams
- Handling media and PR activities for film festivals organised by NFDC
- Promoting the National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC) through outreach and communication campaigns
- Supporting strategic brand-building activities for the National Film Archive of India (NFAI)
- Enhancing the reach and visibility of films produced by the organisation
- Managing advertising, print publications, and communication materials
- Coordinating with agencies related to media, branding, and communications
- Building partnerships and strengthening public engagement initiatives

Educational Qualification

Experience Required
To be eligible for the NFDC General Manager role, candidates must have:
- Minimum 15 years of total professional experience
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in a senior managerial role
- Experience in reputed private sector companies, public sector undertakings, or government organisations
- Minimum 7 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, journalism, media planning, or related fields
Professionals with extensive experience in media management and strategic communication campaigns are highly preferred.
