Role Overview – Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at Arcana, you will work with massive financial datasets (100TB+) covering over 100,000 global companies. Your primary focus will be on ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and quality while delivering actionable insights through dashboards and reports.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, resolve data issues, and support business decisions using SQL, Python, and statistical techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and manage large volumes of daily financial data
  • Design and enhance data quality frameworks to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and continuous monitoring
  • Identify and resolve Level 1 & Level 2 data quality issues, escalating complex problems when necessary
  • Use SQL and Python for data extraction, analysis, and automation
  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards and business reports
  • Work with big data environments (100TB+ datasets)
  • Apply statistical methods to detect anomalies and monitor data trends
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver insights
  • Ensure seamless integration of data from multiple and diverse sources

Required Skills

To succeed in this Data Analyst role, you should have:

  • Strong knowledge of data quality, validation, and reconciliation techniques
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL (complex queries, joins, performance tuning)
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis and scripting
  • Familiarity with dashboarding tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
  • Experience working in large-scale or big data environments
  • Solid understanding of statistics for data monitoring and anomaly detection
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage and integrate multi-source datasets

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in BCA, MCA, or Engineering
  • Minimum CGPA of 8+
  • 1+ year of experience in SQL and Python
  • Prior experience in Finance or FinTech is preferred
  • Exposure to financial datasets is an added advantage
