About the Role – Data Analyst at RentoMojo

As a Data Analyst at RentoMojo, you will act as a strategic thought partner to business leaders. Your primary responsibility will be to analyse business performance across revenue, cost, customer behaviour, and operational efficiency, and translate data into clear, executive-level insights.

You will play a critical role in annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking, enabling leadership to make data-driven decisions that directly impact growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Strategic Support

  • Act as a thought partner for business leaders by providing data-driven insights and recommendations

  • Translate high-level business questions into structured analytical problems.

  • Deliver weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights.

  • Support annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and growth.

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyse revenue, cost, customer, funnel, and operational data

  • Identify trends, anomalies, and root causes behind business performance.

  • Build profitability, cohort, and unit economics analysis.

  • Conduct scenario analysis and “what-if” modelling to support decision-making.

  • Present insights in a clear, concise, and business-focused manner

Reporting & Dashboards

  • Design, build, and maintain revenue and channel dashboards

  • Track KPIs, OKRs, and overall business health metrics

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and clarity across all reports.

  • Continuously improve dashboards to align with evolving business needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis

  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial models)

  • Basic to intermediate Python or R for data analysis (preferred, not mandatory)

Business & Communication Skills

  • Strong business acumen and commercial mindset

  • Ability to convert complex data into clear, executive-level narratives

  • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
