💡 Role Summary

As a Junior Data Analyst, you will be a key contributor to the Centre of Excellence (CoE) team. You’ll work on high-impact analytics projects spanning revenue tracking, demand forecasting, customer behaviour analysis, and product performance insights.

Unlike traditional roles focused only on reporting, this position emphasizes front-end performance analytics—turning raw data into meaningful business strategies. Your work will support teams across marketing, merchandising, finance, and supply chain, especially in D2C, B2B, and quick-commerce ecosystems.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

📊 Data Preparation & Governance

  • Extract and consolidate data from platforms like Shopify, CRM systems, ERP tools, and marketplaces
  • Ensure high data accuracy through automated validation scripts
  • Maintain clean, structured datasets for reporting and analytics

📈 Business Intelligence & Dashboards

  • Build and manage interactive dashboards using Power BI or Tableau
  • Track key metrics such as GMV (Gross Merchandise Value), AOV (Average Order Value), channel mix, and contribution margins
  • Deliver weekly performance reports for leadership and category managers

📉 Insights & Data Storytelling

  • Analyse trends in SKU performance, promotions, geographic demand, and sales velocity
  • Convert complex data findings into clear, actionable business insights
  • Support strategic decision-making through compelling storytelling

🔮 Forecasting & Scenario Planning

  • Assist in demand forecasting aligned with S&OP processes
  • Develop what-if models for pricing, discounting, and new product launches
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize business outcomes

⚙️ Process Automation

  • Work with data engineering teams to automate recurring reports using SQL and ETL pipelines
  • Transition manual Excel-based workflows into scalable automated systems
  • Maintain documentation for KPIs, metrics, and data definitions

🎯 Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Business Analytics, or related fields
  • 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in FMCG, Retail, or D2C industries
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel
  • Hands-on experience with at least one BI tool: Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
  • Solid understanding of e-commerce KPIs, like:
    • Average Order Value (AOV)
    • Conversion Rates
    • Customer Retention Cohorts
    • Promotional Uplift
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into business insights

  • Experience with Python for statistical analysis or modelling
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Blinkit, or Instamart
