Key Responsibilities

As a Business Systems Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to analyse business needs and convert them into automated system solutions. Key duties include:

  • Analyse business requests and define automated system objectives in line with user requirements and industry standards.

  • Identify, evaluate, and design systems and procedures that align with organisational goals.

  • Assist in system configuration, integration, and acceptance testing processes.

  • Document business requirements and translate them into clear system specifications.

  • Build working relationships with programmers, test analysts, and client stakeholders.

  • Conduct meetings with business users to gather feedback and understand system requirements.

  • Develop business specifications and logical flowcharts for system development.

  • Work with programmers to design technical specifications based on functional requirements.

  • Assist in analysing the feasibility of new systems and improvements to existing systems.

  • Prepare system design documentation, including screen definitions, system flow diagrams, and implementation plans.

  • Track application incidents and help resolve system issues affecting business processes.

  • Maintain documentation, including manuals, bulletins, and application design layouts.

  • Support training initiatives and assist with system installations and upgrades.

  • Participate in testing, validation, and implementation activities to ensure successful system deployment.

  • Monitor project progress and communicate potential schedule changes to stakeholders.

  • Maintain compliance with security standards, including payment card industry (PCI) requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
