India’s First AI Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle ‘Indrajaal Ranger’ Launched
Indrajaal Drone Defence unveiled the Indrajaal Ranger, India’s pioneering fully mobile, AI-powered Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle (ADPV) in Hyderabad on November 26, 2025. Built on a 4×4 all-terrain chassis with SkyOS autonomy engine, it detects drones up to 10 km and neutralizes threats up to 4 km via cyber takeover, jamming, spoofing, and interceptors while in motion.
Designed for border security, police, and critical infrastructure, the Ranger counters smuggling of drugs, weapons, and explosives across borders like Punjab and into urban areas. CEO Kiran Raju highlighted its role in protecting lives amid rising drone threats, praised by Lt Gen Devendra Pratap Pandey (Retd) as a transformative defense innovation. This ARDTC-certified system marks a leap in India’s counter-UAS capabilities.
India’s first fully mobile, AI-enabled Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle (ADPV), named the Indrajaal Ranger, was unveiled by Indrajaal Drone Defence in Hyderabad on November 26, 2025. It is built on a rugged 4×4 all-terrain chassis equipped with SkyOS, an AI-powered autonomy engine that allows the vehicle to operate unmanned for extended periods. The system can detect drones flying up to 10 kilometers away and neutralize threats within 4 kilometers while on the move.
The Ranger uses a multi-layer approach combining cyber takeover, jamming, spoofing, and interceptor drones to effectively disable hostile UAVs. It is designed primarily for securing sensitive zones such as borders, airports, and urban centers where threats from drones carrying arms or explosives are increasing. This vehicle addresses challenges faced by traditional fixed anti-drone setups by offering mobility and rapid response.
Indrajaal’s CEO, Kiran Raju, emphasized the vehicle’s importance in protecting lives and securing critical infrastructure, highlighting that India faces rising threats of drone misuse. The ADPV has been tested and certified by the Advanced Research and Development Test Centre (ARDTC), and experts like Lt Gen Devendra Pratap Pandey (Retd) acknowledge its potential to revolutionize India’s defense technology landscape. This makes it a vital new asset for India’s counter-UAS (unmanned aerial system) strategy.
Indrajaal Ranger Key Features
-
Built on a rugged 4×4 all-terrain chassis for seamless operation across border roads, canals, agricultural areas, critical infrastructure, and urban zones.
-
Powered by SkyOS, Indrajaal’s proprietary AI autonomy engine enabling unmanned patrolling, real-time surveillance, and autonomous threat assessment.
-
Detects drones up to 10 km range; neutralizes threats within 4 km using cyber takeover, jamming, spoofing, and interceptor drones while in full motion.
Development Context
Indrajaal Drone Defence created the Ranger to counter rising drone threats like ISI-linked weapon smuggling and Pakistan-origin drones in India’s Rs 3-lakh-crore drug network. Unlike stationary systems, it provides dynamic, mobile defense, certified by ARDTC for national deployment. CEO Kiran Raju stated each neutralized drone protects lives and strengthens security.
Launch Highlights
Unveiled in Hyderabad on November 26, 2025; Lt Gen Devendra Pratap Pandey (Retd) called it a “shield” for children, farmers, and borders. Indrajaal pioneers Counter-UAS tech with operational “security domes” for airports and military sites. It disrupts smuggling routes, weakening criminal networks in vulnerable areas.
