Job Overview

The Cyber Security Analyst L3 role is a critical position within Wipro’s security operations framework. The primary purpose of this role is to analyse, identify, rectify, and recommend improvement measures that enhance the overall security posture of the organisation. The role focuses on safeguarding sensitive data, responding to security incidents, and proactively identifying emerging threats.

This position is ideal for experienced cybersecurity professionals who have hands-on exposure to incident response, log analysis, forensic investigation, and stakeholder coordination in a 24×7 operational environment.


Key Responsibilities

Security Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Monitor, analyse, and safeguard log sources and security access across systems and networks.

  • Identify attacks, intrusions, and unusual, unauthorised, or illegal activity.

  • Handle and resolve security incidents escalated by the L1 team during 24×7 rotational shifts.

  • Perform moderately complex log reviews and forensic analysis to detect unauthorised access.

Threat Analysis & Risk Management

  • Conduct security assessments, risk analysis, and root cause analysis of incidents.

  • Analyse attack patterns and develop detailed remedial action plans.

  • Use advanced analytics and security tools to identify emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities.

  • Maintain and update the information security risk register

Disaster Recovery & Security Operations

  • Support planning and execution of disaster recovery strategies during security breaches

  • Complete all tactical security operations tasks associated with assigned engagements.

  • Ensure timely response and resolution in line with defined SLAs and TATs

Reporting, Audits & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Conduct detailed incident analysis and prepare reports and dashboards for stakeholders.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on cybersecurity matters

  • Assist with internal and external audits related to information security.

  • Provide future-focused recommendations to strengthen security controls and governance.

Cybersecurity Awareness & Advisory

  • Support the creation, maintenance, and delivery of cybersecurity awareness training.

  • Provide advice and guidance to employees on phishing, spam, and malicious emails.

  • Promote a customer-centric approach to cybersecurity across the organisation.


Performance Parameters

  • Customer Centricity:
    Timely and effective resolution of security breaches to ensure a positive experience for end users, internal stakeholders, and external customers

  • Process Adherence:
    Compliance with SLAs (90–95%), response time, and resolution time TAT


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or SOC environments

  • Strong experience in incident response, log monitoring, and forensic analysis

  • Knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements

  • Familiarity with SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and advanced analytics tools

  • Experience working in 24×7 rotational shifts

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and support audit processes
