About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst / Business Analyst to join our growing data team. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about data, analytics, and transforming business requirements into actionable insights. You will be responsible for managing master data, developing reports and dashboards, ensuring data quality, and supporting decision-making across the organization.
As a Data or Business Analyst at HRM Counsel, you will work closely with stakeholders, data engineers, quality assurance teams, and business leaders to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and usability of data. You will play a critical role in shaping the organization’s reporting environment and enabling data-driven strategies.
Key Responsibilities

Manage master data, including creation, updates, maintenance, and deletion

Administer user access, roles, and permissions across reporting systems

Perform quality assurance checks on imported and existing data, collaborating with QA teams as required

Commission and decommission datasets based on business and compliance needs

Process confidential and sensitive data in accordance with organizational and regulatory guidelines

Develop, generate, and maintain reports and analytical insights from single or multiple data sources

Design and manage the reporting environment, including data sources, metadata, and security controls

Support data warehouse initiatives by identifying and refining reporting requirements

Promote data integrity, normalization, and standardization across systems

Evaluate changes to source production systems and assess their impact on reporting

Test, implement, and support new or upgraded software solutions

Troubleshoot reporting databases, dashboards, and analytical tools
-
Train end-users on new reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions
-
Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing techniques
Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field

Proven work experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar analytical role

Strong experience handling large datasets and working with relational databases

In-depth understanding of data management methodologies and large-scale database processes

Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and recommend appropriate software solutions

Experience working with stakeholders to assess risks and define analytical requirements

Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, non-technical language

Knowledge of data standards, addressing conventions, and metadata management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
