Role Overview as Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analysing, and interpreting large volumes of data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (product, operations, finance, etc.) to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL — ability to write complex queries, join large tables, optimize performance.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivots) for analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with a programming language used for data analysis: Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R.
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills — ability to explain data insights to business stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, data accuracy, and commitment to data governance.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data warehousing.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools or data pipeline frameworks.
  • Experience with statistical modelling or machine learning (regression, clustering, etc.).
  • Exposure to version control (Git) and code collaboration.
  • Experience in a specific domain (finance, HR, operations, etc.) depending on business.
