About the Data Analyst Role

As a Data Analyst at StockX, you will play a critical role in converting raw customer service and operational data into meaningful insights that influence strategic and operational decisions. You will collaborate closely with customer service, product, engineering, finance, and operations teams to define metrics, build dashboards, and deliver high-impact analyses.

Key Responsibilities

Data Exploration & Analysis

  • Collect, clean, validate, and analyse large datasets from multiple internal and external sources.

  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for leadership and stakeholders.

Business Insights & Decision Support

  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable business insights.

  • Support strategic initiatives related to customer experience, growth, and operational efficiency.

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to answer business questions and evaluate performance.

Data Quality & Process Improvement

  • Develop scalable data pipelines and automated reporting workflows.

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.

  • Improve data collection methods, tracking, and measurement frameworks

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting standards

  • Present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Document analytics methodologies, processes, and data definitions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis or business analytics

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries and joins.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or Mode

  • Working knowledge of Python or R for data manipulation and analysis

  • Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks

  • Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks

  • Knowledge of statistical modelling, forecasting, or machine learning concepts

  • Prior experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or technology environments

  • Experience in analysing customer service or operational data

  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a fast-paced setting
