About the Role
The Business Analyst (BA) plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical solutions. At Puma Energy, the Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges, analyse processes, and propose data-driven, feasible solutions that align with organisational goals. The role contributes directly to improving operational efficiency, supporting strategic initiatives, and driving sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Problem Identification and Analysis

Identify, define, and analyse complex business problems across departments.

Conduct root cause analysis to understand underlying issues and their impact on business performance.

Evaluate risks, dependencies, and operational implications associated with business challenges.
2. Solution Development

Develop and recommend practical, scalable solutions that address identified business problems.

Assess solution feasibility by considering cost, benefits, technical constraints, and timelines.

Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions align with system capabilities and business requirements.
3. Requirements Gathering and Management

Gather, analyse, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process reviews.

Prepare clear and concise documentation such as Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and process flow diagrams.

Ensure requirements are well-defined, traceable, and aligned with project objectives.
4. Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration

Act as a key liaison between business users, technical teams, vendors, and senior management.

Communicate project updates, requirements, and decisions effectively to all stakeholders.

Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts by balancing technical feasibility with business needs.
5. Project Support and Delivery

Support the implementation of approved solutions by working closely with project managers and delivery teams.

Monitor project progress, track milestones, and identify risks or deviations early.

Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT), change management, and post-implementation reviews.
6. Process Improvement and Optimization

Analyse existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities.

Recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
