About the Role

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in bridging business requirements and technology solutions within the Digital Assets Technology function. The position involves gathering and analysing requirements, supporting new product initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Salary Information

Based on current market trends for senior Business Analyst professionals in Bengaluru’s banking and financial services sector, the estimated salary range for this role is ₹18 LPA – ₹35 LPA, depending on experience, domain expertise, technical skills, and overall fitment. Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Evaluate business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
• Create detailed user stories within Agile delivery frameworks.
• Translate business needs into actionable technology solutions.
• Support product development and implementation initiatives.

Stakeholder & Project Coordination

• Collaborate with technology teams, operations teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams.
• Provide regular project updates and progress reports.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and technology deliverables.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Draft test cases and support testing activities.
• Assist technology delivery teams during implementation phases.
• Manage defects and support issue resolution processes.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Governance & Compliance

• Establish effective governance processes for project delivery.
• Support release management and reduce production issues.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Digital Assets & Innovation

• Support the development of new digital asset products and services.
• Work closely with operations teams for seamless product integration.

Required Skills and Technical Expertise

Candidates should possess strong business analysis capabilities combined with technical knowledge relevant to enterprise banking systems.

Technical Skills

• Linux platform administration and support experience.
• Hands-on exposure to Java applications.
• Knowledge of Java 17, Spring Boot 3.x, Maven, Gradle, and JUnit.
• Understanding of messaging technologies such as MQ and Solace.
• Familiarity with web security concepts.
• Linux shell commands and scripting expertise.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerised environments.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
• SQL and database design knowledge.

Additional Technical Exposure

• WebMethods, WebSphere, and MQ environments.
• Shell scripting and automation.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

• Bachelor’s Degree, MBA, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of Business Analyst experience.
• Strong background in financial services and securities services domains.
• Knowledge of post-trade operations and workflows.
• At least 2 years of front-to-back technology project experience.
• Understanding of financial market instruments.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
• Proficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Basic SQL and Confluence documentation skills.
• Foundational understanding of blockchain and digital asset concepts.
