Job Role: Business Analyst

Huge is currently looking for a Business Analyst to support cross-functional analysis efforts across high-impact digital projects. The role focuses on maintaining clarity in requirements, aligning business goals with technology capabilities, and ensuring smooth delivery across product, design, engineering, and QA teams.

The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to translate complex business needs into actionable development tasks while ensuring quality and consistency throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Definition & Documentation

One of the primary responsibilities of the Business Analyst is to convert business goals into well-structured technical requirements.

Key tasks include:

• Collaborating with Product and Design teams to create functional and non-functional requirements

• Writing User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)

• Creating process flows, data mapping, and analysis documentation

• Reviewing design files and annotating requirements for technical teams

• Ensuring that every interface element and interaction is captured in the requirements

2. Backlog & Sprint Management

The Business Analyst plays a crucial role in Agile delivery by managing project backlogs and supporting sprint planning activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Acting as the primary owner of the Jira backlog

• Maintaining backlog health and ensuring clear traceability

• Participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release cycles

• Supporting product managers and project managers in prioritization

• Helping engineering and QA teams estimate tasks by providing detailed context

3. Quality Assurance & Validation

Ensuring the delivered product aligns with defined requirements is another critical responsibility.

Key activities include:

• Participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Supporting product demos and release validation

• Identifying gaps or conflicts in requirements early in the development lifecycle

• Collaborating with QA teams to ensure features meet expected outcomes

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates applying for this role should meet the following requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner

• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Experience working with Agile or Scrum methodologies

• Expertise in writing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria

• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence

• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills

• Ability to simplify complex systems using process flows and diagrams
