About the Role: Business Analyst – Camunda

As a Camunda Business Analyst, you will act as the critical bridge between business strategy and technical execution. The role is situated within CEFS IT – Process Plus, a global Centre of Excellence (CoE) for process orchestration, where Camunda has been selected as the strategic BPM platform.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, solution architects, and Camunda developers to translate complex business requirements into executable BPMN and DMN models, ensuring high-quality process automation and continuous performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Elicitation & Analysis

  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and as-is/to-be process analysis with business stakeholders.

  • Document functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications

  • Ensure complete clarity and traceability of requirements

Process Discovery & BPM Modelling

  • Design and maintain BPMN 2.0, DMN, and CMMN models using Camunda Modeller

  • Apply process governance standards, including naming conventions, versioning, and documentation.

  • Translate business workflows into executable orchestration models

Collaboration with Technical Teams

  • Work closely with Camunda developers to define service tasks, external task patterns, and data mappings.

  • Clarify technical dependencies and resolve functional ambiguities.

  • Support integration with microservices-based architectures

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Define and track process KPIs such as SLA adherence, cycle time, and throughput.

  • Configure and manage Camunda Optimize dashboards and reports

  • Analyse performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.

Continuous Improvement & Agile Delivery

  • Drive process re-engineering, automation, and Lean/Kaizen initiatives

  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives.

  • Maintain a transparent and prioritized backlog of process enhancements

Stakeholder & Delivery Management

  • Serve as the primary interface for business stakeholders.

  • Communicate progress, risks, and value delivered in clear, business-friendly language.

  • Ensure on-time, first-time-right delivery with high quality and compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of Business Analyst experience, preferably in banking, capital markets, or financial services

  • Strong hands-on experience with Camunda BPM or BPM tools

  • Expertise in BPMN 2.0, DMN decision tables, and process governance

  • Deep understanding of the Camunda ecosystem (Tasklist, Operate, Optimize)

  • Experience designing workflows for complex, high-volume business processes

  • Solid knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Ability to capture and map data flows and data requirements

  • Familiarity with technical architectures such as MVC and microservices

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant professional experience
