🔍 Job Overview

Uplers is hiring an AWS DevOps Engineer for one of its clients—a Series A-funded California-based Software Development Company. This is a remote, full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for DevOps professionals with strong hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, Terraform automation, containerized deployments, and Python scripting.

As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in building, scaling, and securing cloud environments while supporting CI/CD pipelines and production systems.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform modules

• Deploy and operate services on ECS (Fargate), Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudFront.

• Implement monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.

• Enforce AWS security best practices, including IAM policies, Configuration rules, Security Hub, WAF, and SOC 2 compliance controls.

• Develop Python scripts to automate infrastructure tasks and operational workflows.

• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development teams

• Troubleshoot production issues across containers, networking, and serverless systems

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2 to 4+ years of hands-on DevOps experience on AWS

• Strong expertise in AWS services: ECS, Lambda, CloudFront, IAM, VPC

• Proven experience with Terraform and Ansible

• Solid understanding of cloud security and SOC2 readiness

• Strong Python scripting skills for automation

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar

• Familiarity with observability tools: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog
