About the Role

Vekaria Healthcare LLP, part of the Vekaria Group, is inviting a distinguished Retired IAS Officer (Gujarat Cadre) to join its leadership circle as a Special Advisor, Government Affairs. This is a strategic, high-impact role designed for individuals who have operated at the highest levels of governance and possess deep institutional knowledge of Gujarat’s administrative and regulatory ecosystem.

As Vekaria Group enters a critical phase of expansion across multiple sectors, the organisation seeks a seasoned advisor who can seamlessly bridge corporate strategy with government policy, ensuring alignment with the state’s development priorities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Government Liaison
Act as the primary interface between Vekaria Group and key government stakeholders, including the Sachivalaya, regulatory authorities, and departmental leadership. Facilitate high-level communication, relationship management, and issue resolution.

2. Policy Analysis & Advisory
Provide in-depth insights and advisory support on policies across key sectors such as:

  • Land & Revenue
  • Industrial Development
  • Energy & Petrochemicals
  • Manufacturing & Infrastructure
  • Healthcare & Tourism
  • Defence & Strategic Projects
  • Labour, Employment & Skill Development
  • CSR & Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)
  • Law Enforcement & Home Affairs

3. Expansion Strategy Alignment
Guide leadership in aligning new and ongoing projects with Gujarat’s socio-economic development goals, ensuring regulatory compliance and policy synergy.

4. Governance & Ethical Framework
Strengthen corporate governance practices by embedding administrative rigour, transparency, and ethical standards consistent with IAS service values.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer – Gujarat Cadre
  • Extensive experience across key government departments and ministries
  • Strong network and credibility within Gujarat’s bureaucratic and policy ecosystem
  • Demonstrated expertise in policy formulation, implementation, and governance
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ), with a respectful and collaborative leadership style
  • Ability to provide strategic foresight and navigate complex regulatory environments
