Business Analyst Job Overview

Role: Business Analyst
Experience Required: 5 – 8 Years
Location: Greater Chennai Area, India
Work Mode: Onsite / Work From Office
Travel: Domestic or international travel may be required depending on project needs.

As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will be responsible for capturing requirements, designing functional solutions, supporting Agile teams, and ensuring successful product delivery.


Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work closely with product owners, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Requirement Gathering & Documentation

  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from stakeholders.

  • Translate requirements into user stories, functional specifications, and process flows.

  • Maintain clear documentation for development and QA teams.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Conduct stakeholder discussions, workshops, and requirement discovery sessions.

  • Facilitate alignment between business teams and technical teams.

Solution Design Support

  • Assist with solution design, gap analysis, and impact assessments.

  • Prepare documentation including:

    • Functional specifications

    • Wireframes

    • Data mappings

    • API specifications

Agile Product Management

  • Manage the product backlog and ensure stories are well-defined and prioritized.

  • Refine user stories and collaborate with product owners during Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Lead UAT planning and execution.

  • Create test cases and validation scenarios.

  • Track defects and coordinate with development teams for resolution.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare business cases, analytical reports, and insights to support decision-making.

  • Provide data-driven recommendations for product improvement.

Release & Post-Deployment Support

  • Assist with release readiness activities.

  • Support teams during post-deployment monitoring and issue resolution.
