Business Analyst – Role Overview

As a Business Analyst at Tarento, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders, UX designers, and engineering teams. You will be responsible for translating business needs into clear, actionable product requirements and maintaining a well-structured, sprint-ready backlog.

This role is best suited for professionals who thrive in fast-paced digital transformation environments and enjoy owning the journey from problem discovery to production-ready user stories.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the Tarento delivery team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting client workshops and discovery sessions to understand business goals, workflows, and pain points

  • Capturing detailed requirements and preparing clear, structured documentation and meeting minutes

  • Defining user roles, permissions, and access flows based on business and system requirements

  • Breaking down requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories aligned with Agile best practices

  • Writing developer-ready user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria

  • Validating requirements and obtaining formal client sign-off on scope and features

  • Driving alignment meetings with multiple stakeholders to finalize priorities and delivery plans

  • Maintaining and grooming the product backlog using Azure Boards (or similar Agile tools)

  • Actively participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.

  • Collaborating closely with UX/UI designers to translate requirements into intuitive user experiences

  • Reviewing and validating designs to ensure alignment with business needs

  • Attaching approved designs and detailed context to user stories for engineering teams

  • Acting as the single source of truth for requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle

Required Skills & Experience

To succeed in this Business Analyst role in Bengaluru, you should bring:

  • 3–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT, Digital, or Product-based environments

  • Strong hands-on experience with Agile and Scrum delivery models

  • Proven expertise in user story writing, backlog management, and requirement documentation

  • Experience using Azure Boards, JIRA, or similar Agile project management tools

  • Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills

  • Ability to convert ambiguous business problems into structured, actionable requirements

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

  • Comfort working with cross-functional teams, including clients, designers, and developers.

Nice to Have (Preferred Skills)

While not mandatory, the following will be an added advantage:

  • Experience working on digital transformation projects (web, mobile, cloud, enterprise applications)

  • Exposure to UX principles and design collaboration workflows

  • Domain knowledge in BFSI, Retail, Healthcare, or Enterprise Platforms

  • Basic understanding of APIs, system integrations, and technical architecture
