About the Role

Meta is seeking highly motivated Software Engineer – University Graduates to join our Bangalore engineering teams. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are passionate about building scalable systems, writing high-quality code, and contributing to products that impact billions of users globally.

As a Software Engineer at Meta, you will work on real-world problems across mobile, web, backend, and infrastructure platforms. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, product managers, and designers while developing your technical skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of Meta’s products, systems, and codebases

• Design, implement, and maintain high-quality software solutions using modern frameworks and abstractions

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with strong test coverage

• Analyze data and system behavior to identify performance improvements and scalability opportunities

• Work independently to complete assigned tasks on schedule while exercising strong judgment and problem-solving skills

• Learn and apply Meta’s engineering standards throughout the development lifecycle—from coding and testing to deployment and release

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and actively participate in code reviews

• Seek and provide constructive feedback in alignment with Meta’s Performance Philosophy

• Gradually take ownership of more complex tasks and projects as your experience grows

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (degree must be completed prior to joining Meta), or equivalent practical experience

• Experience coding in one or more industry-standard programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript

• Strong foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles

• Ability to obtain and maintain valid work authorization in India

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous software engineering experience through internships, co-op programs, research projects, coding competitions, or open-source contributions

• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively

• Passion for building scalable, user-focused products
