About the Role

As a Data Analyst at EaseMyTrip, you will play a critical role in analysing large volumes of travel and customer data to support strategic business decisions. The position focuses on identifying trends, forecasting demand, optimizing services, and improving customer satisfaction through actionable insights.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, customer service, and operations. Your analyses will directly contribute to data-driven strategies that enhance operational efficiency, improve market positioning, and support business growth in a competitive travel ecosystem.

This role is ideal for candidates who possess strong analytical thinking, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Data Collection and Management

  • Collect, clean, and manage data from multiple internal and external sources.

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.

  • Maintain structured datasets for easy querying and analysis.

Statistical Analysis and Insights

  • Apply statistical methods to analyse complex datasets.

  • Translate raw data into meaningful insights that support business objectives.

  • Conduct exploratory and descriptive analysis to answer key business questions.

Trend Identification and Forecasting

  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets.

  • Support demand forecasting and predictive analysis initiatives.

  • Assist in improving planning and decision-making processes.

Reporting and Performance Tracking

  • Develop and maintain regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Monitor business performance and evaluate the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives.

  • Recommend actionable improvements based on analytical outcomes.

Data Visualization

  • Design interactive dashboards and visual reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI.

  • Present insights in a clear and visually compelling manner for stakeholders.

  • Enable faster decision-making through intuitive data visualization.

Advanced Analytics

  • Apply advanced analytical techniques, including predictive modelling and basic machine learning, to enhance forecasting and strategic planning.

  • Support experimentation, hypothesis testing, and optimization initiatives.

Database and Security Management

  • Maintain and manage databases, ensuring data security and controlled accessibility.

  • Support efficient querying and reporting for business users.

Ad Hoc and Collaborative Analysis

  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support urgent business needs and strategic planning.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve business challenges using data.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Technical and Analytical Skills

  • Strong foundation in statistical analysis and data interpretation.

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies, including Hadoop or Apache Spark.
