About the Business Risk & Audit Function (BR&AF)
The BR&AF team provides the Executive Board and Audit Committee with insights, assurance, and governance recommendations. This global function:

Conducts audits, investigations, and internal control assessments

Drives risk and internal control reporting every quarter.

Develops governance standards and best practices
-
Operates worldwide through multiple regional hubs
-
Combines focus teams across digital, talent, back office, shared services, and forensics
As part of this dynamic ecosystem, you’ll contribute to key global initiatives while collaborating with multicultural teams across continents.
Role Overview: Data Analyst (Analytics, Audit & Risk)
In this role, you will bring technical expertise, analytical mindset, and business acumen to support audits, risk assessments, and internal control reviews. Your work will shape insights into Randstad’s operational compliance, process efficiency, and risk exposure.
You will:

Support the design and implementation of the BR&AF analytics roadmap.

Execute technical data analytics, including data visualization, data cleansing, profiling, reports, and validation.

Collaborate with audit teams to integrate analytics into audit procedures.
-
Research new technologies such as machine learning and generative AI to enhance BR&AF’s capabilities
-
Assist in building sustainable analytics structures, including data retention, governance, and clean-up logic.
-
Travel internationally (approximately 20–30%) as part of assignment delivery.

Coach non-technical colleagues, enabling them to work confidently with analytics outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics Execution & Audit Support

Perform data profiling, data mining, trend analysis, sampling, and predictive modelling.

Use statistical techniques and visualization tools to identify anomalies, patterns, and audit risks.

Collect, clean, analyse, and interpret data from internal and external systems.
-
Validate analytics results and share meaningful insights with BR&AF management.
Risk Management & Control Framework

Participate in risk assessments and deep-dive investigations.
-
Conduct data-driven root cause analyses.
-
Identify gaps in internal controls and propose corrective actions.
-
Strengthen combined assurance activities and governance practices
Technology & Innovation
-
Drive the adoption of emerging technologies within the audit function.
-
Integrate generative AI and automation to transform analytics delivery.
-
Support BR&AF’s strategic vision for data-driven auditing.

Required Qualifications & Skills
To thrive in this role, you should bring:

5–8 years of relevant experience in analytics, audit, or data science
-
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Management, Mathematics, or similar fields
-
Strong experience in:
✓ Machine Learning (5+ years)
✓ Data Visualization (5+ years)
✓ Data Analysis (5+ years) -
Certifications such as CAP, CDMP, CISA, or CISSP (preferred)

Excellent Business English communication (B1/B2 level or above)

Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical teams

Strong stakeholder management and organizational awareness

Willingness to travel (20–30%)
